India’s Got Talent Season 5

The fifth season of India’s Got Talent (IGT) began in January, 2014. India’s favorite reality show, IGT was started with the mission of bringing out hidden talent in the masses and exploring the creative diversity of this nation. If the previous four seasons are of any proof, IGT has been fully successful in its venture to tap the potential of a large number of talented people.

Hosts and Judges

India’s Got Talent was hosted by famous comedian Bharti Singh along with Mantra who later got replaced by VJ Andy. The fifth season was sure to result in a laughing-riot with Bharti and Andy cracking the audience up with their antics. The show was judged by popular director, Karan Johar; veteran actor, Kirron Kher; and model-turned-actress, Mallaika Arora Khan.

Finalists of India’s Got Talent Season 5

India’s Got Talent has been known for finding precious diamonds in the rough. Season Four too witnessed a series of dramatic performences. The finalist who managed to reach the top 10 were: Ragini Makkhar and Naadyog (Kathak Group Dance); Beat Breakers (Group Performance); Saei Jamshed (Piano Player), Subhreet Kaur (One Leg Dancer); Anshu Kumar (Dancer); Hassan Rizwi (Magician); Funny Boys (Comic Dance); Rohit Jaiswal (Acrobatics); Anasua Chowdhury (Pole Dancer); and Hargun Kaur (Singer).

Naadyog Academy emerged victorious in the fourth season of India’s Got Talent. Known for their stupendous Kathak dance moves, the Indore based academy was led by Raagini Makhar. A talented Kathak dancer herself, Raagini had been running her 360 dancers strong team for 25 years. The group was famous for its ability to display gracefully the nuanced art form, Kathak. It was Ragini and her team’s indomitable grit that made them the winner of the fourth season of India’s Got Talent.

A Show of Exemplary Courage

It is worthwhile to mention the performances by Subhreet Kaur. A proficient dancer, Subhreet did not let her disability of having only one leg come in between her and her passion for dancing. Her exemplary performances at India’s Got Talent were nothing short of inspirational. They reminded us that with great will and spirit, man can achieve the unachievable. Salute to her courage.

An Emotional Roller Coaster

The fifth Season of India’s Got Talent was an emotional roller-coaster ride for everybody. While a couple of performance made the judges and the audience emotional, Bharti and Andy provided the much needed relief with their wisecracks. Like always, India’s Got Talent Season 5 too was a success.
